Date Night!

Our daughter is a home body and usually has friends stay over at our home, but this rare occasion she stayed the night with one of her friends and we had FREE TIME for US!  YIPPEE, HURRAY, YAHOO....   You know, maybe we would go to a movie and see something rated more than PG and even maybe slip in a nice dinner and have a nice conversation without the regular "family" talk of our daughter's daily activities and listen to her "stories".   But in typical style, that was not to be....our refrigerator decided to go out, so our "date night" became a shopping trip.  And with the cold stuff on a clock running quickly down to "mildly cool" we purchased a new refrigerator, brought it home, unloaded off the truck, took off doors to get it inside (so fun by the way!!!), cleaned it up and got it ready to stock.  Best Date EVER!   Ahhhh, Parenthood and the appreciation of OUR ALONE TIME TOGETHER.

Happy Mother's Day

When I think of Mother's Day, I think of peace and comfort I get from talking to my mother.  No matter how old I am, when things are in a crazy state or things are upsetting, who do I call....my mother and why? because it gives me solace.  I'm a mother myself, my oldest moved out of state years ago after graduating collage and my youngest is a TEENAGER!  Yep I need that peace and comfort myself so I can give them that solace from me when they need it like my mother gives me.   So I created a little piece of relaxation in my yard that brings me some peace and I thought I would share it with you. I hope it brings you comfort and you enjoy this little moment.
